I got a Nvidia shield pro (2019) a while back and it was running Kodi great, but unfortunately they only have 13Gb internal storage and Kodi filled it up. I put in an alright USB3 thumb drive (read:120MB/s write:40MB/s tested by app on Shield) and once everything was finally loaded days later it was taking 30+ seconds to play anything. I just purchased a 2019 Shield TV and hooked it up to the same preamp processor (NAD M17v2) and I get Atmos via Netflix, Disney+, Vudu and Kodi. 2015 shield no Atmos, same settings. it would appear that the older Shield pro has the issue.
